Molecular sieve manufacturer: what is the molecular sieve dehydration process
It is reported that molecular sieve is a synthetic hydrated aluminosilicate (zeolite) or natural zeolite, which has the function of screening molecules. Due to different requirements of enterprises, sometimes dehydration occurs, and many users do not understand the dehydration process. Therefore,
molecular sieve manufacturer will make a small series to introduce its process and principle.
Zeolite molecular sieves with low silicon aluminum ratio (such as type a, type x, etc.) It is hydrophilic and can be air dried. In addition, in recent years, the addition of ethanol in gasoline to replace some gasoline has also aroused widespread concern. The water content of ethanol as fuel should be less than 0.8%, but due to the azeotrope of ethanol and water, only 95% ethanol can be obtained by distillation. For ethanol dehydration with low water content, zeolite adsorption dehydration is a better choice.
Zeolites used in this method are type a or type x, and type KA is better. On the one hand, the grade of type a zeolite is used, and on the other hand, the pore diameter of KA zeolite is about 0.3 nm, so molecules can enter freely, but ethanol molecules with a diameter greater than 0.3 nm cannot enter the pores of zeolite. This zeolite dehydration process is an industrial process to produce fuel ethanol.
The above is the introduction of molecular sieve dehydration process and principle. According to the introduction, we can know the use of the product more clearly, so as to better meet the needs of users and meet the use effect.
